Molasses, clove, and banana nose, in that order. Clear orange color, medium bubbly head. Tastes of banana, grain, and clove, well balanced. Some citrus and hops on the palate, but faint. Rated generously for the rare and welcome hops in a wheat beer.

I couldn’t wait to taste this being so familiar with the Saranac types since the first days of my tasting before ratebeer.com. Strongish ale taste. A little acidness. Smell is quite wheaty and hefe like. Decent carbonation. Industrial medium back of throat bitterness builds with each drink. Some gunk on the bottom, surprised but this puts on a very good aesthetic display on the pour. Swirling and beautiful. Finish turns just a little watery. This does not posses any of the Saranac flavors that I have encountered with their other varieties.

Pours a cloudy golden colot with a medium thin and fluffy white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Aroma of wheat, banana and malt. Light-bodied and smooth with initial wheaty flavor, followed by some banana and nutty notes. The finish is clean, with wheat and spice present, along with a touch of yeast lingering. Pretty standard stuff all around.

Initial aroma is spritely with some minty notes, plus lemon and thyme. Pours fairly clear golden, with a medium (for a hefe) fluffy head. Soft and sweet up front, with a slight clove note riding on the pillowish malts. Finishes thin and empty. More than an american wheat, but not all the character of an authentic german hefeweizen, it represents a fair middle ground between the two.

This is the first time I have had this beer. Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a cloudy pale yellow with a small white head that fades quickly. The aroma is light wheat and moderate banana. The flavor is banana, a hint of citrus, light malts and a bit of a sour tang towards the finish.

Golden yellow with a small head. Sweet banana spice in the nose- not strong, but just enough. Very banana flavor... actually kinda tasty. Refreshing.

Bottle. Nice banana, peach and clove aroma. Orange yellow color - cloudy with small head. Sweet banana and clove flavor. Decent body for a Hefe. Pretty good - has some decent weizen characteristics.
