In Belgium, one of the world’s greatest brewing regions, the tradition of blending fruit with beer has achieved cult status. We decided to create an American interpretation that we present as Oxford Raspberry. The beer is light and refreshing and finished with real raspberries giving it a fruity aroma, and quenching tartness.

Bottle. Nice raspberry taste, but it overpowers the wheat and well... the beer. More like a raspberry soda.

Pour is a red with a large pink head. Aroma is of faint raspberrys and nothing else. Shoulden’t a fruit beer punch you in the face with the fruit aroma? Not so much here. Flavor is artificial raspberry and again not much else. Pretty poor.

A hazey golden ale with rosey hues and a thin white head. Very faint raspeberry aromas, nothing much else. In mouth, a tart refreshing wheat beer, with restrained fruits, not bad, but not Belgian at all. Bought at Party Source, Feb. 2007.

Rerate 9/08 as Oxford organic raspberry wheat, new label and I thing the recipe is different: Palate is very creamy bubbly. Some sdiment on the boittom for a little switling action in the glass when you get to the bottom. The old beer was filtered. Some sweet olfactory. Appears a little viscous in the glass but is not on the tongue. Taste is beery and a little dully tart with perhaps some raspberries but it is not sweet, appears to be lacking gentle sweetness. Finish is not bad. I do think this is a different beer than Clipper City Oxford Raspberry Wheat, since that was not hazey.

original 3,1,3,2,6. Brown 12 oz bottle. Popping the lid yeilds a scanty sour aroma with a dab of yeast. Pours like any other pale yellow american beer, is not cloudy. Taste commences with a raspberry implication tho not engaging. Is something like a flavored wheat beer but is not as sweet. There are not too many good fruit beers out there abd this is below average. I like raspberries but ...... Of the three fruit beers I’ve tasted tonight; harbor blueberry, oxford rasp and leinies berry, this is second best.

Bottle. Raspberry aroma, flavor of raspberry doesn’t hit until a few seconds after taking a sip. Wasn’t bad, but wasn’t overly spectacular.

An aroma that is more sweet than fruity. Copper colored. Flavor is of very light fruit and sugar, and this leads to a light palate as well. A very light and easy going fruit beer with little to offer.
