2005 bottle. Light orange/golden, some rosy peach hues, kind of like a white zin. . . (in more way than color, as we will discover). Decent white head recedes slowly to a ring and cover. Clear and very filtered. Huge amount of carbonation can be seen in the aggressive bubbles rising. Smells of lightly tart raspberries, mineral water. Tastes like a fruit spritzer, clearly canadian comes to mind. Harsh carbonation. Extra light body. There could be malt in this, but I’m not positive. . .Finishes with minerals. Wow.

Another blah Clipper City beer. +++ Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer pours a pink salmon color - rather reminiscent of white zinfandel. Minimal white head. The sour berry scent is pretty appealing and gears one up for a nice fruit flavor that unfortunately never comes. The flavor instead is a sour, dry, rather artificial generic berry. The beer that supports this berry taste is relatively bland. Overall one is not left with much to be impressed by.

Pours a clear golden/copper color with fragments of fruit evident in the glass. Aroma and flavor are raspberry, and that's just about it. I've had two raspberry ales, and while I enjoyed them both, the "beer" seems to be missing. People not normally into beer would probably enjoy sipping on this one.

Orangey golden colour with a white head that acts exactly like soda. Forms a frothy billowy head of huge bubbles and then VERY quickly dissipates...not great for a beer, but good for a soda! Aroma of fresh raspberries, a very nice smell and EXACTLY how it should be for this style. A small malt background but the raspberries are strong. Light-bodied; Watery taste with some average hints of raspberries while almost completely missing the boat on malt and hops! Almost no malt background and the hops are gone completey it seems like. The raspberry taste is nice, but it only gets you so far for a beer...and that level is pretty low. Overall, a decent beer if you like raspberries, and for anyone else, just a sub-par fruit beer. The taste is too subtle and the other beer 'characteristics' are completely gone. Try another fruit beer if you are really into this style...this one isn't really worth it. I bought this twelve ounce bottle from Total Wine in Chantilly, Virginia.

Red to gold in colour. Sweet and bland with sweetish raspberry flavour. More like an alco-pop than a credible fruit beer.
