This plum Melomel was made with more than 4 pounds of golden plums per gallon of finished mead. Orange blossom honey was chosen to give this mead a nice citrusy feel that compliments the plum flavors nicely. This mead is sweet and is a great after dinner sipper with dessert.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with no head whatsoever. Aroma has a good amount of sweet honey with a hint of plum and a hint of underlying alcohol. Flavor is similar with sweet honey and plum up front with backing warming alcohol.

Bottle shared by Steve. Pours clear gold. Nose/taste of honey, vanilla and dark fruit. I couldn’t detect plum. The dark fruit is in the background. Medium body. Clean mead.
