25 oz bottle-pours a foamy, four finger+ reducing to rocky with patches clinging to the side of the glass white head. Color is hazy yellow. Aroma is floral, fruity. Taste is spices, hoppy, grapefruit, sweet creamy, vanilla. Good carbonation.

2003 bottle consumed 9/2004. Pours a wonderfully brilliant gold with some softer lime green/yellow hues, mountains of white foam and lacing and a vigorous carbonation rising. Bottle conditioned, as with all of their brews. Aroma has some very fragrant hops, lightly bitter and citric (lemons and limes mainly). Hint of malt sweetness and a bit of drier wheatiness and sweatiness. Flavor is bold; moderately bitter with a good amount of malt backing it up. Beer needs to breath for a while to let the carbonation even out. Lots of lemon sugar cookie flavor, but more of the hops as well on the finish. This is what I would imagine a great blonde ale to be: fresh hops, ample malt and a refreshing but not watery medium body.

Cloudy golden appearance with a huge foamy head - bready, lemony aroma with hints of spice - crisp and refreshing, with citrus and hops pretty dominant, yet yeasty and full-bodied for such a light ale - a nice twist on the style.
