Sampled on draft at the Beerhive this beer poured a black color with a large fluffy brown head that lingered and left good lacing. The aroma was roasty and dry with moderate cocoa. The flavor was bitter and roasty with notes of vanilla, wood and cocoa powder. Long dry, roasty, cocoa finish. Medium body. Disappointing.

Yes, nice and black from the tap. Looks good. Thin scummy head. Smell is surprizingly peanut butter. No flavor of peanut butter tho. More liek semi sweet chocolate. fairly mild and easy to take. Decent lacing as the session continues. Good co2, but just barely perceivable. Milder easy goin finish. Not bad overall, well done.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 3/1/13
Aroma: The aroma is fairly light with some roasted malts, chocolate, and a bit of earth
Appearance: Pours a dark brown-black color with a thick froth of beige-brown head and coating lace
Flavor: The flavor is the same with sweet malts, chocolate, and some metallic notes on the finish
Palate: The body is fairly light for the style, a touch watery, and with a fairly short duration
Overall Impression: It is not completely terrible, but not a very exciting one. The nose is fine, but kind of dull, the taste is similar to the nose, but not as good, the body is watery, but at least it has a nice looking pour.

Bottle from Demonic mixed six pack. Pours dark brown with off white head. Nose is fake drugstore chocolate and malt. Taste is the same with some burnt barley in finish. Light to medium body. Simple. Drinkable.
