Bottle @ Home. Pours golden with a huge white head, loads of lively bubbles. Aroma of malt, fruity hops, peach, lemon, lemonpeel. Flavor is malt, some yeast notes, fruity, citrus, lime, lemonpeel, little grapefruit. Medium body, overcarbonated, light bitter finish. 120115

Insanely high head. Very light pale yellow colour. Aroma of yeast, hop, some fruit. Watery. Medium sweet with a faint bitterness. Very flat carbon, which is in conflict with the massive foambuilding. Actually rather boring.

On tap at Galopper des Jahres, Hamburg. Clear golden color with thick creamy white head and average sparkling appearance. Aroma of citrus, lychee, passion fruit, peach and herbal hops. Taste starts with light sweet grainy malt, follows refreshing fruity with a touch of grassy sourness, crisp and dry mouthfeel with moderate bitter finish. Medium body, slick texture and lively carbonation in palate. Well balanced tasty APA...

Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Hazy yellow colour with a mediumsized white head. Aroma is citrus, some wood, mild spices and earth to it as well. Flavour is fruity fresh with some mild sweet malts as well as some herbs. Fresh while somewhat cool, once it warms up it does get a bit sticky and slightly yeasty.

Hazy yellow ale with white lasting head. Intensive aroma of citrus and lime. A bit too sweet in my eyes. Medium body. Average carbonation. A slightly bitter finish which makes it a beer at last. Easy drinkable on warm summer days.

Hazy orange/yellow colour with a huge head, incredible, too much (with 10cl the Duvel glass was totally full!). Smell is citrus, yeast, some ripe fruits (peach, mango) but also some soapy notes. Taste is very fruity, basically only fruity, sweet, any bitterness, not really...sincerely, it’s not bad, it’s also nice in a hot summer day, but it seems too much a fruit juice with gas. Sure not between the best APA I had.

hay yellow colour, medium sized off-white head;aroma and taste of citruses and some maltyness and maybe some minimal floral/resiny notes; not the best APA I’ve tasted

Bottle from bier-deluxe.de. Golden to orange, hazy body, with a big, frothy, white head, that dissipates quickly. Aroma of citrus, tangerine, red berries, lychee, mango, honey. Taste is a bit flat, with citrus, tangerine, berries, herbs and moderate malt notes of biscuit and grass. Mouthfeel is medium to light, (too) light carbonation and it finishes moderate, grassy, citric and slightly bitter. Overall a bit disappointing. While the fruity smell is nice, the taste and the mouthfeel are too thin for my liking. It still isn’t bad, easy to drink, but I’ve had much better Citra Ales.
