The Blue Lady is a very sour girl, sure to bring a pucker to your lips. She starts with a traditional sour mash to bring out her tart side. After fermentation we introduce her to one hundred and fifty pounds of fresh blueberries from our friends at Seedling Farm. The result is a beautifully colored sour ale with a layer of blueberry flavor.

Bottle shared by a friend. Pours a pinkish-amber color with a medium fizzy pinkish-white head that evaporates steadily. Spotty lacing. Aroma of berries, wheat and funk. Light-bodied with a mildly tart fruit character and notes of wheat and yeast. The finish is fruity with a berry aftertaste. Decent overall.

Bottle. Pours a clear deep ruby amber with a near white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has some earthy blueberry with a hint of popcorn and earthy grains. Flavor starts with sour blueberry but has some earthy grain that adds a bit of sweetness.

Bottle @ Dan’s house, courtesy of arminjewell. Thanks! Reddish maroon, cloudy appearance with an off white head. Fucked up berry, rancid vomit, butyric, light butter aroma. Initially a thick vomit gross flavor that’s followed by a little redeeming blueberry, tartness on the finish. Unfortunately, the butyric acid is all consuming and really ruins the experience.

Bottle. Pours muddy purple with off white head. Nose/taste of Greek yogurt, blueberries, wheat malt and light tartness. Some diacetyl, but it doesn’t detract from the beer. I rather enjoyed this despite its perceived "flaws." Reminds me almost exactly of a Blueberry yogurt dumped into a moderately sour Berliner weisse. Medium body. Moderate tartness.
