The dark caramel, large dense headed brew, with its 8.8% alcoholic content, is unique due to its sweet notes of chocolate and coffee interspersed into a foundation of dark roasted barley. Symbolic black to denote leadership, power, focus and strength, is dominant in the labeling as the lion journeys in the twilight unafraid, unbowed and unchallenged.

Bottle from Wittich. Pours dark brown with an beige head. Aroma is chocolate, coffee beans, little raisin. Body is heavy, quite sweet with lots of roasted malt notes, coffee and chocolate again, both sweet and bitter, yet neither is overwhelming. Decent carbonation, yet never taking the stage completely. Sweetish palate with lingering coffee flavours, yet easy enough to drink. Good!

330ml bottle at home. Pours clear dark brown to black with a tan top. Aroma: roasted malts, chocolate, coffee, liquorice. Taste: moderate sweet, roasted & toasted malts, coffee, dark chocolate, dark fruits, leather. Medium bodied, average carbonation, thin mouthfeel, semi dry lightly bitter finish

0.33 l bottle shared with Marko and Striko, thanks. Dark brown, medium to large off-white to tan head. Fruity, red fruit and dried fruit. Slightly toasty and roasty. Slightly metallic. Flavour is caramel, toasty, dried fruit and roasty. Sweet. Moderately lasting finish. Medium body, soft to moderate carbonation. Creamy. Dry finish.

Pours dark brown from the bottle. The tan head soon fades. Aroma is a mix of plum, dark chocolate, and roasted notes. Taste is bittersweet with sour plum undertones. Body is medium to full, touch oily. Good.

Pours a dark brown with a tan head. Has a roasted coffee, slightly sweet and alcohol aroma and a little malt sweet and coffee flavor. Heavy drinking with a long coffee aftertaste.

Schöner Cappuccino-Schaum, in der Nase malzig, röstig. Im Trunk angenehm schokoladig, bittersüß, hinten kommt die Röstung durch, nicht zu schwer, 1 A.
