Unser West Coast IPA.

Bottle, 6.6%. Caramelly hop aroma, hint of ashtray. Cloudy dark golden colour. Very big, stable, creamy chalk white head. The flavour starts off with a little green vegetable, but turns nicely bitter with a fruity sort of NZ hoppiness even though it says on the label American hops were used. Quite high bitterness and nicely clean. Good creamy mouthfeel.

Bottle. Pours clear golden with stable off-white head. Clear aroma of hops, with notes of grass and touches of fruit. Bitter, hoppy and citric flavour with fruity otes and malty touches. Hints of yeast. Bitter, hoppy aftertaste with slightly acidic hints. Not bad.

Hazy dark blond with quick fading head. Hoppy aroma with tropical fruit and a touch of pine. Some mango in the aftertaste. Thinnish body. Pleasant but lacks a bit of punch in the flavour.

BOTTLE 33 CL. Fresh juicy orange and grapefruit, not much pine or resins and just subdued malts. Smooth pithy bitter finish. Excellent.

[backlog] 11-07-15 // on tap at Bierbörse Mainz. Dark orange hazy colour, small white head. Hopbomb. One of the best German IPAs. Medium sweet malty base gets overweighed by intense hop aroma. Citrus, pine, grapefruit orange, some tropical fruit. Bitter finish.

Bottle at home. Came from ABCbeers (R.I.P.). Hazy dark golden/amber with white head. Sweet malts, strong bitter hops, oranges, canned peaches, plants, nettles, sweet orange tea, honey, caramel, biscuits. Over medium sweet and strong -dry on the tongue- bitter. Body is full texture is a bit chalky/minerallike and carbonation is mild but paired with the dry bitterness it has quite a sting on the back of the tongue.
