Unser West Coast IPA. Der Backbone Splitter ist ein orange leuchtendes, mit vollem, karamelligen Körper und handwerklich gebrautes, obergäriges Bier mit 6,6 % Alkohol. Sein tropisch-fruchtiges Aroma, erinnernd an Pfirsich, Litschi und Mango, entstammt einer großzügigen Kalthopfung mit erlesenen, überwiegend Amerikanischen Hopfen.

Shared bottle at home. Pours amber with off-white head. Aroma of tropical fruit, caramel, alcohol, cat piss, red fruits. Taste fruity-sweet with hoppy bitterness and a little umami.

Gekauft in The Pier in der Flasche. Schönes Mango Geruch, der sich im hopfigen Geschmack wieder findet, auch leichter Ananas Geschmack. Im Abgang bitter, leider nach etwas stehen säurig.

Tap at Hopfenreich. Slight hazy dark golden with lasting cream colored head. Massive pine, mango, grapefruit, just loads of oily almost resinous hops. Sweet syrupy malts with toffee, vanilla cake and sugared hazelnuts. Quite sweet with medium bitter finish. Medium bodied with sticky sticky feel.

A quite good American IPA, you can feel the west-coast hop profile in the smell as well as the taste. Heavy on the tropical fruits, like mango and pineapple, as well as some dank pine.

Utseende: dunkel honning farge.
Skum/kullsyre: Tynt skum, heng langs kant.
Smak: Citrus med en finn honning avslutning.

On tap at The Tasting Room, Taipei. A bit hazy golden with a medium head. Aroma of grapefruit, light cookies and some caramel. Similar taste, also some soap.

On a flight of beer at Meisterstück. Very bitter, but also rather on the malty side when it comes to taste. Some citric aroma, but it mostly becomes fruity at the very end. Solid, but not outstanding.
