An absolute dessert classic! A stupendous, dense dark tan head on a near black body. The nose features chocolate, fresh coffee, cream, an underlying hoppiness, spice and a slight vegetal element. Classic taste elements for a monster IS - fresh ground heavily roasted coffee, molasses and toffee, butter, cream, chocolate, ripe berries and balancing hops. Solid carbonation keeps it from being too sticky. The oats add to the density and help sustain the taste.

Tap. Whew we. This is good stuff. Deeps dark color. One of the darkest heads I have ever seen. Chocolate coffee aroma. Taste is complex. Chocolate, coffee, fruitcake, licorice, with a slight hoppy finish. Nice.

Can shared at Hopa. Black pour, beige head. Intense cocoa, chocolate, dark malts, earthy notes, sweet booze and low fruity notes both in aroma and taste. Beautifully balanced, very well rounded impy with big fat body. Also #2300 for me. Yay.

this is one of the darkest, thick pours i have ever seen. This is black hole black. a good 1.5 fingers of head. The head is like a dark brown almost reddish on the edges. Aroma is sweet, like liquid chocolate cake, with some chocolate ice cream, with a big cup of roasty espresso. WOW. Flavour is so rich, and loaded with chocolate. wicked roastiness, and lots of coffee in the finish. Mouthfeel is THICK, but super smooth and velvety. THe alcohol warms on its way down, but man is this smooooooooooooth. Quite bitter also, those IBU’s come out, but add some nice depth after the smooth chocolate. Wow, just an amazing stout! I can’t give it a 5, cause i don’t think anything is perfect, but this is damn near close to it!

Can at Het Klooster, Delft. Thick roasted malty aroma with intense dark chocolate, coffee, cocoa, mocha, and vanilla. Flavour is sweet with a roasty bitter finish. Body is full and thick. Lovely classic Imperial Stout with tons of chocolate malt.
