Can from Brewforia. Pours orange amber with a slight head. Aroma is pretty malty. Sort of towards roasty. Med body or nearly. Flavor is roasty malt with some fruit/floral notes, and something rendering it bitter. It’s not exactly dry, but seems hoppy and bitter in the finish. Decent drink.

tap at the brewpub - Pours amber with an off-white head. It has a mild, grainy malt aroma. The flavor is sweet with a touch of caramel and fruit. I certainly wouldn’t say, as the brewery description does, that it has "assertive hop bitterness". It’s very mild bitterness. Decent beer, that’s about it.

Can - dark amber - moderate lace - nose of toffee, caramel, apple - flavor is heavy, sticky, quite sweet - flavors of toffee up front, followed by apple, moderate estery character - some peanut skin, acidity, earthy hop bitterness late - lingering, unclean finish - meh.

16 oz tallboy can. Aroma is perfumy, chalky, caramelly, toasty. Pours slightly hazy copper with a one finger collapsing off-white head. Taste is roasty sweet, a little tart. Faint off-note of metal. Medium body, highly carbonated. Pretty tasty.

16oz can pours with a clear deep amber body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up sweet fruity ester notes like red apples mixing with a mild malt roastiness, faint caramel malts and then pears at the end of the draw. The taste has a moderate degree of roasted malts and some biscuit malts to go along with sweet lager yeast esteriness that’s a little apple and nectarine like. This is pretty nice except I wasn’t expecting any biscuit malts or roastiness and as such it seems out of place.

Can from a very generous trader. Douglas? I can’t remember. It’s been awhile. I didn’t realize this was a California Common until now. Thanks! Pours amber with white head. Nose/taste of toffee malt, toasted biscuit, bready malt and light spicy hops. Dry crisp finish. Medium body.

16 oz can from a trade with Gription79. Pours clear copper color with cream colored head. Grainy and toasted malt aromas. Sweet caramel and grain flavors, slightly fruity with mild bitterness. Medium body with average carbonation. Thanks Dallas.

Appearance: Pours clear dark amber with a nice sized beige head that dissipates fairly quickly leave some lacing
Aroma: Toasted malts, yeasty, nutty and grassy
Taste: Toasted malts, yeasty, caramel, nutty with a bitter grassy finish. Leaves a mild sweetness in my mouth
