Clear dark amber colour, tall frothy off-white head, good retention, light lacing. Aroma roasted malts, dried dark fruits, light caramel, hay, light sourish touch. Taste mild medium sweet and slightly bitter, roasted malts, toffee, bit yeasty. Mild sweetbitter aftertaste, woody notes and again that light sourish touch. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation, solid and very pleasant dunkel.

Augustiner Bürgerheim, 2016 Starkbierzeit. Többet vártam tôle. Sokkal tőbbet. Halovány árnyék a bőr alatt. Emellett nagy szájpadláscsesztető szénsavas. Vizes, lehetett volna testesebb. Színe szép ében. Előíze büdös Banka, utóize emészthető.

Aroma is of roasted caramel malt and, lightly, butterscotch. Pours brown with a somewhat bubbly tan head. A fair amount of carbonation going on here. Body is light to medium, and slightly oily, and yet also watery in places. Taste is sweet with a rich caramel presence and with hardly any bitterness at all. Decent. Too malty and sweet to drink more than 1 or 2.

Deep copper, clear body, with a big, fluffy, rocky, beige head.
Aroma of caramel, bread, dark fruits, some toast.
Tastes of toast, bread, caramel, dark berries, grains, some hops.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with a lively carbonation.
Finishes toasty, bready, a bit bitter, hoppy, a bit fruity.
Nice one. A quaffable, not too sweet Dunkel, with nice toasty notes. Nothing special overall, but one of the better beers from this brewery.

Tap at the Schranke in Nuremberg. Medium brown with pretty orange tints, tall, pillowy head. Caramel, brown sugar nose, bit of raisin. Full, complex flavor, sweet brown sugar and caramel, earth, hay. Something slightly burnt as well. Too sweet overall to drink a lot. Decent, but cannot match their heller biers.
