The 6th Seal Imperial Stout is the 6th Seal Chocolate Stout on steroids! This beer has ample quantities of roasted barley and double the hops. It has a more aggresive flavor profile and is deceptively strong. This is a beer that the Czars would fight over.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Max’s place. Thanks kerenmk. 2016 bottle. Black with a nice tan head. Aroma of roast, cocoa, some dark chocolate. Sweetish and slightly sourish flavor, with lots of chocolate, roast. Medium-bodied.

Draft: Walnut and roasted malt nose. Black pour, headless. Sweet walnut, barely perceptible chocolate. Soft carbonation. A bit cloying. This brewery’s offerings run a bit sweet for my taste, but they’ve got chops. --- Beer merged from original tick of Sixth Seal Imperial Stout on 01 Jul 2015 at 17:10 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 8 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. Draft at Extra Billy’s Midlo. Pours a dark brown color with a large creamy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of chocolate, bright citrus, mild nuts, herbal hops. The taste is chocolate, cocoa and a citrus finish. Medium bodied, smooth, a little sweet.
