Sample, poached from Cubs and Leighton. Clear, bright gold color, with a small, off-white head. The nose is pine, caramel, and pepper. Sweet and malty, with a sharp, dank bitterness. Medium body, syrupy, sticky, and creamy. This is a solid, smooth, and straightforward IPA.

Keg at the brewery tap. Pours clear gold with a creamy topping. Ripe and jammy citrus in the nose, pine, pale bread. Medium sweet flavour with lots of oily pine, some booze, lightly toasted malts, juicy and jammy citrus, orange especially. Medium to full bodied with fine to average carbonation. Warming and resinous in the finish, some bitter rind, pine, pale bread. Good one.

This beer pours a cloudy orange color with a medium thick off-white head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, piney hops and fruit. Medium to full body with flavors of caramel malt, earthy hops and fruit. The finish is malty up front with a resiny hops aftertaste. Above average overall.

Tap at strange - hazy straw color - nose of citrus rind, pine, grass - medium sweet flavor - strong, oily, moderately astringent, resinous hop flavors - as with other strong beers I have had here, there is a pronounced, starchy, vegetal note to it - not very good - I think I am done at one taster here today.
