Adam from the Wood is our Adam aged in American Oak barrels. First released in 2000, and released again in November 2011 in 12oz bottles. This 12% beer has lots of the typical HOTD aromas: Caramel, brown sugar, tons of raisin and tobacco. Fig, date, and plum fruitiness in that order. This has a fairly strong earthy vinousness as well as oak vanilla.

No head, greyish tinted, near-black brown beer. Wood, strong spirit, vanilla, young oak, (milk)chocolate. Chocolated, sharp peppery finish. Dark grapes, chocolate covered. Lots of fusels & esters. Very hot, full bodied, slick to viscous feel, alcoholheat. Very good, but somehow, I expected more, seen the source.

Bottle at tasting. Brown pour. Aroma of thick bourbon vanilla, caramelised malt, raisin and ripe fruit. Flavor is a beast, with lots of bourbon vanilla, raisin, caramelised malt, ripe fruit and booze. Realy strong bourbon flavor, leans towards an actual bourbon.

Taste is smooth, slick and warming with loads of ripe fruits, plums, wood, oak, bourbon, vanilla, toffee and syrup.
