Named for local badass Captain Henry Sawyer whose life was spared in a prisoner swap for the son of General Lee, our American style barleywine brings notes of dark caramel and brown sugar thanks to an intensely complex malt bill, with an alcohol warmth that will chase away the chilliest of winter nights. An assertive hop profile balances the malts with gentle hop aromatics and a clean fermentation character.
