An Old Ale in the British style, an ale of high alcoholic strength, generally not as strong or rich as a barleywine. This features malty and fruity flavors and aromas although the finish is dry. Medium to full bodied and very dark red-amber, this is our Winter Beer. It is brewed with Belgian Pale, chocolate & caramel and German Munich & wheat malt and is hopped with American Simcoe, German Magnum & English East Kent Goldings with a bit of Orange Zest.

Location: On tap at the Brewbup, 1/3/10
Aroma: Aroma has lots of spice, cherry, some nuts and caramel
Appearance: Hazy amber color with a tan head
Flavor: Taste is mostly spice, malts, and sweet fruit
Palate: Medium body with a nice mouthfeel
Overall Impression: I like this beer, it was a nice Old Ale. A nice, and even a bit adventurous, winter seasonal for a small brewpub like this one.
