J'ai eu l'occasion de goûter la bière Brewdog 5AM Saint et voici ce que j'en ai pensé. La bière est présentée en bouteille de 33 cl et sa couleur ambrée tirant vers le rubis attire l'œil. Au nez, on perçoit des notes de caramel et de fruits, avec des nuances d'agrumes qui rappellent presque une IPA. En bouche, la bière est très légère avec une amertume subtile et beaucoup de céréales. Bien qu'on ne perçoive pas autant de caramel qu'au nez, quelques notes épicées et résineuses viennent relever le tout. Cependant, j'aurais aimé qu'elle ait un peu plus de longueur en bouche et de corps pour une expérience plus complète. Dans l'ensemble, je ne la considère pas comme la meilleure bière de chez Brewdog, mais elle reste plaisante et dans l'air du temps.

Aroma røsted malt, sitrus, fersken, humle, karamell. Utseende mørk rødbrun med offwhite skum. Smak smak i samme leia. Fruktig, medium fylde, god bitterhet. Flaske smakt på Mathallen Oslo Mars 2013, 33cl 5%

Bottle, 0.33l. Cloudy deep ruby pour, minimal off-white layer on top. No lacing. Nose is hoppy and herbal, some candy notes, a bit caramel. Thin to medium body, aggressive carbonation. Light texture, very prickly. Somewhat thin and watery. Bittersweet taste. Aroma of malts and grains, some caramel. Grassy hops. Slight roastiness in the background. Candy. Herbal. Medium finish, moderately bitter. Dry. Overall, good, but nothing really outstanding. Thin body lets it down a bit.

Full peppery hops, fills the nose completely. When poured it has a light brown, watery appearance. Classic, clean, pure hoppy brown bitter. Nice and full palate.

Fles thuis geprobeerd met LiekevdV. Het is een roodbruin bier met een volle lichtbruine schuimkraag. Het heeft een hoppige geur. De smaak is hoppig en fruitig.
