Yes we are bringing back Rhinelander Export! The beer that started the entire stubby beer bottle craze, but your “shorty” is now grown up. Made with the original recipe from yester-year, it is a refreshing and malty beer with a light and smooth finish. Look for it in your favorite retailer and on premise establishment.

Bottle I brought accidentally to RBSDG. Pours cloudy gold with white head. Nose/taste of apple, sugar and light corn malt. Lighter medium body. Okay.

Bottle @ RBSG Grand Tasting. Pours a golden appearance with an off white head. Twangy lemony, straw, cracker aroma. Slightly corny, a touch buttery. Nah.

7oz baby bottle. This stuff is actually not that bad. Probably one of the better beers brewed at Minhas. Surprisingly sweet and slightly grainy, I could drink a lot of these. Actually, I have. Me and about 15 other buddies were in an Ice-fishing tournament and we had already finished 12 cases by 9am. ’Twas a good day!

2 7oz bottles poured into a glass at Big Daddys Nip bar in Rhinelander. Filtered orange-tan, no real head. Disgusting buttery aroma, Buttery, some DMS maybe, but otherwise a straightforward macro beer. Off tones really dominate, making it hard to enjoy. Tastes like a 19th century budget beer.

Shorty bottle from the bottle. No way i’m pourin’ this in a glass. Thin grainy pale lager. IMHO it wasnt bad. Nothing offensive at all; but nothing spectacular either. Drink it for for the old days; it reverted back to the original recipe and the bottles are just great.

This is one of the better pale lagers out of Wisconsin. Good malt and yeast flavor, with gold color. This beer has palate, and is a pale lager I would like to drink again. Thanks to Bob for sharing.

207ml bottle thanks to SS. Straight pour into a tulip yields a clear golden yellow body with a small white head that takes about a minute to fade. Aromas of corn, huge DMS (cooked turnips), pepper, body odor, a hint of a fruit ester (in a lager, I know), a bit doughy. Flavors of DMS (STRONG), grainy, cooked vegetables. Light minerallity. The rest of the malt bill is straw like with a light bready nature. A very light bitterness that fades quickly, neutral balance. Medium to lively bubbles, thinner body. Dry, light carbonic bite. I am not particularly sensitive to DMS, but this was really loaded with it! Glad it came in a small bottle.
