Tap at Volo. Slight hazy orange pour, with a small white head. Funky, bretty nose with some nice mango and tropical fruit aromas. Malts are subtle but still quite up front, bready and biscuity. From the aroma I’m expecting sweet, hoppy notes, but it’s quite dry, with a medium li Gering bitterness. Finish is just slightly grassy with some light fruit, and funk. Ends very abruptly and very dry.

A dark maple amber hazed ale with a thin moka head. In aroma, a smooth biscuitty malt with nice herbaceous hops and good Brett notes. In mouth, a nice crisp malt with super present Brett, czech hops, pinhey notes, grassy and notes, smooth and balanced. On tap at Octoberfest des Québécois, Sept. 12 2010.
