It might sound like an echo, but it’s not. This collaboration with Stillwater Artisanal explores the true depth of Mango flavor. Three layers of taste and aroma from fruit and hops. Go Mango!

If you’re going to put fruit in a beer, there’s no better fruit to use then mango. At least that’s what Magnus here at Dugges Bryggeri says. So, when there was time for another Dugges x Stillwater Artisanal collaboration, Magnus posed the idea of a mango beer to Brian of Stillwater. Turns out, Brian had the same idea about mango and beer as Magnus. So, we set out to do a mango solo! To make it a sour was a no-brainer. We’ve got nothing but love for our sour collaborations so far, and we wanted to continue exploring that. Said and done, with mango flavor from two types of mango fruit and from mosaic hops we did it. Mango, mango, mango!

Pours very hazy orange juice golden, topped with thin and very nonlasting white head. Strong and very pleasant tropical mango aroma with soury character. Intense puckery sourness with gentler fruity presence and gentle mango sweetness finish. Lighter body. Very lovely. Soury in taste, mango in aroma.

Keg at the Bottle Shop, 02/08/18. Lightly hazed golden orange with a decent off white cap. Nose is big on mango, mixed tropicana, orange peel, straw. Taste comprises tarte mango flesh, Um Bongo rip, soured citric sherbets, grass, lemon rind. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with a light pucker. OK easy drinking sour.

bottle. cloudy yellow, small white head. holy cr*p, this one has a strong mango aroma, totally dominated by sweet mango, quite faint notes of some kind of flowery hops. very fruity. not bad, but.. very fruity. flavor is quite sour with a solid, really solid mango fruity base. tartness is also high, but other than that it is very easy drinking, not at all phenolic or anything. just tons of tart and sour, blended with swet mango. works really well, not cloying at all. The base beer is very clean sour so the mangos are treated well.

At a tasting, many thanks, small bubbly head, quite clear deepish yellow color, aroma of mango with feral and flowery hints, mango feral flavor, becomes a fruit salad, light to medium sourness. Nice and tasty.
