It might sound like an echo, but it’s not. This collaboration with Stillwater Artisanal explores the true depth of Mango flavor. Three layers of taste and aroma from fruit and hops. Go Mango!

If you’re going to put fruit in a beer, there’s no better fruit to use then mango. At least that’s what Magnus here at Dugges Bryggeri says. So, when there was time for another Dugges x Stillwater Artisanal collaboration, Magnus posed the idea of a mango beer to Brian of Stillwater. Turns out, Brian had the same idea about mango and beer as Magnus. So, we set out to do a mango solo! To make it a sour was a no-brainer. We’ve got nothing but love for our sour collaborations so far, and we wanted to continue exploring that. Said and done, with mango flavor from two types of mango fruit and from mosaic hops we did it. Mango, mango, mango!

Bottle. A foggy orange colored beer with a thin off-white head. The aroma is mostly on the mango side, with a light touch of canned peach and canned fruit syrup. It's a bit fizzy on the palate I think, it's quite dry and lightly tart, with a medium body fullness. It's a bit more fruit sour in the flavor than what I expected from the aroma, but that works well with the mango fruityness and notes of peach. Long mango driven finish. There's not much beer left here, the mango runs the show more or less on its own, but it's a tasteful and easy drinkable beer, and that counts too. 190601

Pours very hazy orange juice golden, topped with thin and very nonlasting white head. Strong and very pleasant tropical mango aroma with soury character. Intense puckery sourness with gentler fruity presence and gentle mango sweetness finish. Lighter body. Very lovely. Soury in taste, mango in aroma.
