Powerplant was the very first beer we ever brewed in winter before we had full power supply, hence the name. It is a Belgian classic fermented at high temperatures to bring out all those great saison yeast characteristics. Big aromas of fruit and spice carry through into the flavor. The result is a hearty and complex, yet wholly drinkable beer.

Bottle. Hop Hideout, Sheffield. Hazy amber. Huge, bubbly, off white head. Spicy, ginger biscuit, bready malts. Some toffee. Taste is sweet, to start, turning full on, spicy bitter. Way too fizzy. A bit heavy on the booze. Finishes long, spicy bitter. Lacking any subtlety. Hard work.

Bottle from Cornelius.Hazy orange body with a huge off-white head. Lively carbonation. Lots of lacing. Aroma of hops, caramel and wholemeal bread. Flavour of toffee apple, rye and a citrus edge. Medium body with a frothy mouthfeel. Fizzy carbonation. No hint of the 8.2% ABV - this drinks incredibly easily. I’m not sure if this really is a Saison, but I don’t care. It tastes good.

Draught @ Tallinn Craft Beer Weekend 2015
Aroma is somewhat mild with some funky yeasty tones typical to saisons. Also fruity tones and urinal tones. Flavour has yeasty tones typical to saisons, grapefruit, cereal and some urinal tones. A strong saison – in a good sense.
