Powerplant was the very first beer we ever brewed in winter before we had full power supply, hence the name. It is a Belgian classic fermented at high temperatures to bring out all those great saison yeast characteristics. Big aromas of fruit and spice carry through into the flavor. The result is a hearty and complex, yet wholly drinkable beer.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session I, 01/05/2015. Lightly hazed orange with a decent faint beige covering. Nose is tangy citric peel, straw, bitter orange. Taste comprises tarte lemon rind, bitter orange, funk, yeast esters, straw. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok saison but I’d expect a bit more depth ABV considered.

On tap at Sandar. A gusher, producing an unclear amber colored body and a huge off-white head. Curtains. The aroma is quite malty, with some pale malts, grass, resin notes and a peppery hint. A bit heavy on the carbonation, full to medium body and semi-dry. Grass, pale malts, generic fitness and a decent bitterness. Not my favorite saison or Edge beer, but far from bad. 150531

CBC Yellow Session. Keg. Hazy gold beer, good fluffy pale cream colour head. Palate is airy with good fine carbonation. Sweet floralness and sweet crystallised fruits. Light malt cream. Dry finish. Tasty enough.
