Powerplant was the very first beer we ever brewed in winter before we had full power supply, hence the name. It is a Belgian classic fermented at high temperatures to bring out all those great saison yeast characteristics. Big aromas of fruit and spice carry through into the flavor. The result is a hearty and complex, yet wholly drinkable beer.

0,33l bottle at Vienna Food Festival. BB 08/16. amber hazy color, small off white head. smells sour, citric, light leather, barnyard, green apples. Full body, soft carbonation, slick mouthfeel. Tastes herbal, citric, acidic, green apples, some sweetness, slight leather. Finishes with citric and herbal notes. Lovely beer, smell suggested quiet a bit of sourness, but taste has good balance, rather unique, but i quite like it.

Draft @ Hoppy Loft.

The saison from this young Barcelona brewpub; bottle opened with a big bang and a serious amount of gushing, resulting in a towering, inches thick, rocky, dense, yellowish eggshell white head (and foam creeping out of the bottle afterwards) eventually collapsing but retaining very well; colour is a beautiful, warm and pure, lightly hazy amber with fierce sparkling; adding the deposit creates a murky, but still beautifully deep brownish orange appearance. Aroma of (strong) white pepper, dried orange peel, whisky, redcurrant, toast, dried grass, hint of lemon blossom, hazelnuts, earth, carrots, honey, bell peppers, apricot and a hint of fried egg; in all, very convincingly saison-like, difficult to circumscribe, but these brewers have hit the essence of it quite well, and added some own personality to it. Clean, edged fruitiness in the mouth, dried apricot, hint of banana, red apple, with a citrussy freshness; smooth, oily, slick mouthfeel, spritzy and somewhat minerally carbonation. Evolves into a smooth, supple caramelly and bready maltiness, toasted in the end and meeting with a deep, earthy, leafy, peppery hop bitterness in the finish, building a perfect balance with the malt sweetness; ends juicy, throat-bittering and alcohol warming without becoming astringent. Everyone does saison these days but many of them are just vaguely Belgian ales without any specific saison character - already something which is hard to pinpoint. It has to do with both technical aspects (hard water, for instance) and aesthetical feel; this is a strong saison which could just as well have been made in Hainaut. Very enjoyable, even among the best ’true’ saisons I had so far. ¡Enhorabuena!
