Keg at the brewery, 12/17/16. Clear dark brown, large creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of lactose, chocolate, roasted malt. The taste is roasted malt, chocolate, lactose, mild tart twang. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness.

Sampled from the tap at the brewery. Pours a near black with a brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has notes of dark grains and light chocolate with a bit of roasted malts. Flavor has chocolate and dark grains with a big of a creamy note.

Pour is a black with almost no head at all. Aroma is not real big. Some roasted malt but that’s about it. Flavor is better with a nice roast and coffee. Finish is dry and leaves a bit of the char on the tongue. Maybe a bit thin but is has plenty to offer. Dryer than most milk stout’s I’ve had.
