We have brewed on this beer in a long time and we finally think it is a should. A very majestic stout with a hint of roasted barley malt, smoke malt, coffee, some spices and to top it all a drop a of rum. The beer has been seasoned on oak wood. This beer can stored many years in a dark closet or cellar, but is also ready to drink when it leaves our brewery. Buy an extra bottle and stash it for a special occasion in some years. It will develop like a god wine- only get better and better by the years.

500ml bottle [11.0% abv]. Jet black colour with average, thick, creamy, mostly lasting, moderately lacing, tan head. Roasty, chocolately, sweet-ish dark malty aroma, hints of rum, molasses, a touch of cappuccino, almond, spicy overtones of soy sauce and lovage. Taste is minimally dry, slightly bitter, roasty dark malty, minimally spicy and smoky, hints of soy sauce, lovage, a suppressed touch of plum; full body, widely disguised alcoholic presence, entire efficacy at the same time.

(Bottle) Black colour with creamy pale brown head. Malty, roasted nose with dark coffee, oak wood, cacao, dried fruit, dark rum and burnt sugar. Malty, roasted taste with dark sweet sugar, oak-aged rum, cacao, raisins, brown sugar, a touch of tar and a vinous finish with a generous coffee bitterness and a slight sweetness. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Big and bold imperial stout with lots of coffee and a balanced wood character. Very nice.

Bottle from Beers’n’more. A sweet and strong ImpStout with a nice rum note. Coffee, some chocolate, rum, barrel, some vanilla. Spicy, thick carbonation, slightly oily, boozy, late bitterness. Very balanced, but not entirely harmonic.
