Pours deep gold into a Sam glass. White head with medium retention recedes to skim surface. Sour butterscotch and roasted rancid vegetable aromas. Soft with cloying overripe banana and decaying zucchini. Uh, sorry, but this is really bad...

Location: 22 oz bottle from Oak Tree (CT), 8/2/13
Aroma: The aroma is sweet for the style, with caramel/fruit, some booze, and some pine/fruit hop
Appearance: It pours a dark orange color with a huge (2 + fingers) foam of frothy beige head
Flavor: The taste is plus sweet, and mid-plus bitter, but the sweetness just makes it feel off-style
Palate: The body is medium-full, it is sticky, with lively carbonation, finishes dry and a touch hot
Overall Impression: This one wasn't a favorite for me. The hop presence is really just not that exciting, and there's too much sweetness. It's a fine beer, but it its toward the bottom of the style for me.

on tap-pours a rich retaining light tan head that laces and amber color. Aroma is great grapefruit/citrus/pine hops (cascade, later lemon zest/Amarillo shows up), some sweetness. Taste is great grapefruit/citrus/pine hops (cascade, later lemon zest/Amarillo shows up), some sweetness, secondary medium malt. Finish is bitter pine/resiny. OK carbonation.
