Wisconsinite: the most Wisconsin beer ever! Made with 100% Wisconsin-grown malted barley, wheat, and hops, including a unique, first-of-its-kind, never before fermented, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain. It pours a hazy, unfiltered, straw color with a fine white head. The mild clove, banana, and citrus aromas from the Wisconsin yeast go well with the malty sweetness and fresh baked wheat bread flavors. With its light body and lively effervescence, Wisconsinite is a refreshing summer session beer.

Location: 12 oz bottle from Buy Rite, 9/1/13

Aroma: The nose is heavy on the clove/spices, with lots of yeast, banana notes, and some lemon
Appearance: It pours a golden color with a fizzy white head and lots of movement in the glass
Flavor: The taste is lightly sweet, heavily spiced, with wheat and fruit notes, and a light tartness
Palate: The body is light-medium, with a fizzy carbonation, and a long, tingly finish on the mouth
Overall Impression: This is a pretty solid hefe. The flavors, particularly the clove/spice, are quite pronounced. There's nothing crazy going on here, and the over-carbonation hurts the drinkability a bit, but overall, I thought this was a decent example of the style.

Hazy light copper - nose is fairly sweet (honey), with some notes of clove, banana and overripe apples, as well as some bready wheat and yeast - carbonation is full, but fairly soft in the mouth - a little thin up front, but fills out decently in the long term - light acidity up front, followed by moderate sweetness, flavors of melon rind, clove - slight spicy/peppery notes arrive late - bready, lightly tangy finsh - not bad.

Bottle from Total Wine in Folsom, CA. Pours god with a creamy 4 finger white head. All that comes through the foam is clove. Med body. Flavor has clove and a decent amount of banana ester. A bit wheaty in the aftertaste. Decent drink.

Tap at Sugar Maple. Hyper yeasty and thick, like the end of the keg..but its not. Yeast forward all the way, tolerable in a Lakefront way. Pretty much a big, overstated American Wheat. Creamy, medium bodied, some clove action. A touch dirty still. OK.

Pour is a murky orange with a small white head. Aroma is a nice clove with some fruit. Flavor is some spicy fruit with clove and bubblegum fruityness. Think of a hefe without much banana but substitute it with a nice fresh blast of citrus fruit. This was a solid easy drinker.

Nearly clear gold with a tall, off-whnite head. Aroma is wheaty....banana...clove, coriander. Taste is malt, wheat, banana-orange...spice. Crisp and sweet. Very nice.

Bottle - Banana, wheat and some light citrus. Hazy yellow orange with a foamy head that dies pretty quick. Banana, some light sourness that comes from the over carbonation and next to no finish. Some slight citrus and sweetness. A very refreshing beer, maybe a bit over carbonated, but perfect that hot patio.

Super hazy golden coloured body with a dense, very very fast-dying white head with not much movement. Aroma of pale malt, wheat, light coriander seed, corn and a bit of yeast. Light-bodied; Assertive wheatie flavour with a coriander seed freshness, a bit of wheat and yeast notes and some corn tucked in the mixture with a light sugar flavour. Aftertaste light and relatively mild with a bit of yeast noticeable, some light sugars, a touch of alcohol and a very pleasant, smooth wheat finish. Overall, a nice wheat with a good summer lightness and a good flavour profile that isn’t weak at all. A nice beer that everyone should try if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 09-September-2012 for US$1.35 sampled at home in Washington on 23-September-2012.

Bonus courtesy of GhostFace. The 12oz bottle pours fairly opaque pale yet deep gold with copper core and thin bright white head. The aroma has some nice coriander and clove like spiciness with a bit of bubble gum and pepper. The taste is enhanced by a decent level of carbonation pushing up some mild black pepper notes, cloves, a bit of bubble gum and then grainy like malts. It smooths out into the finish leaving bubble gum and a sliver of clove lingering into the after taste. Nice summer brew.
