Can from Just In Beer, Groningen. Lovely toasted caramel malt aroma with toffee, milk chocolate, notes of dried fruits, soft fudge and liquorice root. Medium sweet flavour, lightly bitter. Body is medium. Very drinkable and easy Old, the malts really shine here.

member of 1001 beers list unexpected until I brought home. Dark cola pour and minimal head. Nose is ripe fruits and leather. Tastes of old leather booth, figs, flat cola, molasses and chocolate. Smooth creamy palate.

Dark chestnut towards black, small head. Raisin and smoked wood aroma. Malty body with raisin, chocolate and slightly smoked notes. Distinct but balanced bitterness.

Can from Systembolaget. Deep, smokey Malts that has more porter vibes than old ale - certainly if English. Quite rough even though it is clearly well made and mature.

Dark brown (as good as black) with a small but firm head. Slightly roasted aroma with notes of caramel, brown sugar and dried plums. Quite sweet caramel flavor with a litttle bit of roasted malt. The alcohol brings some harsness to the finish.
