Sometimes things just come together — in a confluence of circumstances — to create something special. Take, for example, our No. 12 Rakau Pale Ale. Quite by accident it was:

• The 12th batch of beer ever brewed at Confluence Brewery

• Brewed for the first time on Dec. 12, 2012 (12/12/12)

• Had an original gravity of 12 degrees Plato

Eerie. No. 12 Rakau Pale Ale is an American Pale Ale brewed with American two-row and British Maris Otter barley malt, along with generous amounts of three caramel malts. The flavor and aroma hops are one of New Zealand’s finest, Rakau. They give our No. 12 a fruity character with tropical aroma highlights of passion fruit, mango, peach and apricot. Try it … and drink in the power of 12.

Growler during RBWG. Pours a clear gold with medium frothy white head that lasts leaving spotty lacing. The aroma is floral hop and citrus. Similar flavor to nose with caramel and light bitterness, good.
