Bottle bought @ Systembolaget. Pours murky yellowish beige with a small frothy and bubbly beige head that quickly dissipates without leaving much trace on the glass. Smell is tiny sour, malty and herbal with crackers, sourdough bread, grass, lemon balm, lemon juice, lemon cough drops, dry wood, cereal, moist dill and hints of stomach acid. Taste is slightly sweet, bitter, very tiny sour, malty and herbal with crackers, sourdough bread, orange peal, grass, lemon balm, moist soil, lemon zest, oatmeal cookies, pine needles, cereal and hay. Mouthfeel is round, astringent, soft and light to medium bodied. Finish is bitter and herbal with crackers, white bread, lemon peal, grass, dry wood, moist green herbs and hints of lemon cough drops. Not something I’m used to but I pretty much liked it…

Tap at Mikkeller and Friends. Pretty reddish-brown color, with lace. Grassy hop aroma, some caramel and plums. Chocolate malt flavor, but light and balanced, then a huge dirty bitterness with grass and earth. A characterful alt, a but harsh but good.

Flaska från SB. Smutsbrun, väldigt grumlig, lågt snabbt försvinnande skum. Mest jäst i doften vilket får mig att bli lite osäker på om ölet är okej. Smaken är ganska syrlig, men ganska fadd med jäst, degspad, färskt bröd, lite karamellsmak i bakgrunden och en ganska torr avslutning med lite krita, lätt beska. Kall tycker jag den är lite smaklös och varmare blir det mest jästsmaker, ändå okej, men inte mer.

330ml Bottle - Amber/copper with a haze. Toffee and dried fruit in the aroma. Fruity and malty taste with biscuity malt, toffee and sultanas detected.

Draft at the source. Murky brown color, huge beige ice cream cone head. Aroma of toasted brownies and caramel. Taste is brown bread, toffee, cocoa. Very nice.

Tap at Braustelle, Ehrenfeld Koln, 27/04/13. Murky dark amber with a big frothy white head. Nose is toffee, light hops, sugars, dark fruits, touch of biscuit. Taste comprises toffee, biscuit, good hop bite. Medium bodied, fine carbonation. Decent hopped up alt.
