The palest body and wheat make for the “lager” of the ale world -- almost as light as you can get. As an American wheat you get a subtle citrus from the hops, instead of the heady bready notes of a German hefeweizen with banana and clove or the Belgian spice of coriander and orange--it’s a simple clean wheat that gets a moderate boost of body from the wheat.

This brew is a slightly hazy yellow-gold color with a medium fluffy white head that dissipates steadily. Spotty lacing. Aroma of wheat, fruit and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of overripe fruit, herbal wheat and biscuit malt. The finish is off fruit and grainy malt. Below average overall.

Draft at Beltway Brewing. Poured a very slightly hazy yellow color with a small white head. Aroma was light wheat notes, touch tropical notes, sweet grain. Aroma is light hops, yeast. Tastes a bit like ’summer.’
