SchuppenAas is een goud blond bier waarbij na de hoofdvergisting Brettanomyces gist is toegevoegd. Dit geeft het bier een uitgesproken verfrissende smaak en geur. Het toevoegen van specifieke hopsoorten geven het bier dan weer een fruitige ondertoon van citrus en pompelmoes.

Bottle at home. Aroma of fruits, citrus, orange peel, apricot, yeast, some Brett funk, floral notes, hint of tropical fruits, bready malt, hops. Flavour is light sweetish and medium bitter. Finish is dry, body is medium. Pretty good, complex and yeasty fruity Belgian IPA-ish beer, very enjoyable.

Bottle 0,33ltr: Hazy amber colored brew with bog foamy head and with fruity dry bitter taste. Hints of citrus and some little bit sourness.

(bottle 0,33l from topvino.cz online shop) Overall: Ok, soft brett. Quite bitter. Aroma: Light brett, light sweet malty, light fruity. Appearance: Clear golden. Medium, white head. Taste: Light brett, light sweet, light spicy, light bitter. Palate: Medium body. Bitter finish.

33 cl bottle @ home. Rated on 14.12.2019 Started to foam spontaneously out of the bottle when cap was opened. Aroma has ripe fruits and bretta. Flavour has ripe fruits, apricot, bretta. Clean and basic Belgian bretta beer. I wonder what is the non-bretta-version like?
