Had no idea what this was on the menu of a Yard House. Was happy and surprised this came as a smoked beer. However, aside from that it's a mess. The smoke is almost certainly fake, not smoked malts but liquid smoke. If it's not well the rest of the beer is so artificial. Sweet candy, caramel syrup but a lifeless body. Just sooooo sweet and the smoke becomes aversive by getting caught up in the sweetness.

At the source: pours mahogany with small head. Aroma is sugar, light smoke and meat. Taste is almost like a rauchbier with a light smoky aftertaste. Pretty nice. Very pleasant.
