Cask at the White Horse, RBESG 2011. Pale golden color. Nice citrus, pepper, light malt nose. Flavor is light malt, cat piss, quite bitter with a peppery finish. Nice enough.

Cask@King William IV, London. Golden colour, not much head. Aroma is fruity, floral, sweet malts with some mild earthy and wooden notes to it. Flavour is crisp maltyness with a nice floral and grassy hop bite. Rather mouthdrying bitterness.

On cask at the Rake. It pours a clear straw yellow with thin foamy white head. The nose is full of citrus fruits (particularly grapefruit), farmyard, pine and some honey. The taste is initially of citrus fruits (lemon, lime, pink grapefruit, tangy) that leads to a spicy finish full of ginger and decent bitterness. Its dry, crisp and light bodied...... ideal for summer.

Cask at Jolly Butchers, Stoke Newington. Clear pissy gold colour with minimal head. Big ol’ sauvin hop and tropical fruit aroma that upped the expectation levels massively. Happily, this delivered with bells on. Flavour brought the best out of the NZ input with some great grassy hop bitterness, that really keeps you coming back for more. Great condition. Finished dry and bitter. Got to be one of the best beers I’ve tasted at this strength, a real cracker no dizzle.

Cask at Jolly Butchers. Clear gold pour with a modest, bubbly white head. Strong grass hop aroma with light, tropical fruits. Flavor is lightly sweet, lightly fruity, with loads of dry, earthy and grassy bitterness. Light bodied with average carbonation. Finishes quite dry with loads of hay and grass hops, and mild fruitiness. Very good.

Cask handpull at William IV pub, Leyton. Very pale gold. Slight haze. Lime hop aroma, slightly sweaty sox on aroma. Bit acidic and thin in mouth. Just the wrong side of citrus hoppy for me and slides into ascetic.

4th September 2010. Brodies Beer Fest at their Brewpub - King William IV in Leyton.
Hazy pale gold beer. Light semi crisp palate. Tasty grapefruit and lime hops, I guess the lime coming from that complex hop - Nelson! A little green acid something (not apples) before a semi dry finish. Refreshing.

From cask Old Fountain. Pours hazy to cloudy orange with a small white head. Aroma is spiced, herbal and fruity hops. Flavour is the same with a vague sweetness turning into very dry and bitter finish.
