Chipotle Smoked Porter. A surprisingly approachable smoked porter, velvet smooth with a robust malt backbone. This is infused with Chipotles to give even more smokiness and a subtle hint of heat, a real winter warmer.

Very dark brown colour. Aroma of smoked malt, cocoa, brown sugar. Flavours of smoke and burnt bitersweet malts. The fine but intense carbonation is the only downside.

Cask at the Birmingham Beer Festival 2013. Poured a clear dark brown with a bubbly off white head. The aroma is roasted malt, creamy caramel, coffee and some chilli spice. The flavour is medium bitter with a medium to weak bodied spicy liqourice palate and a short bitter finish. This really was a superb beer.

Bottle, 5.7%. Gusher. Citric and smokey aroma. The smoke is much like a campfire that has burnt out. Very dark brown colour and a very big stable brown head. The flavour is smoked and papery with a citric touch. OK mouthfeel, but prickly from the (over)carbonation. Late coffee flavour, along with a faint chilli warmth. Well-balanced.
