Old Peculier is a beautiful, yet very simple beer, brewed using a very generous blend of finest pale, crystal and roasted barley with two bitter hops combined with the majestic and noble ‘Fuggle’ hop to produce a beer of awesome full-bodied flavour with subtle cherry and rich fruit overtones.

Bottle 500 ml. Dark brown color, yellowish foam. Aroma: sweet, fruity, esters, dried fruits, butter. Taste: malt, esters, caramel, nuts, butter, medium bitterness, slightly earthy, good.

Malty, sugary and sweet aroma. Dark brown color, creamy head. Sweet flavor with some compensating toasty bitterness. Apple. Rather thin. Licorice aftertaste.

Fles 50cl thuis. Donker fruit, pruim, rozijn, wat kers, caramelzoeten, licht zuurtje, wat laurier, licht roasted malts, bitters, wat stroperig. Lekker. (7-7-2019).

50cl bottle from Iperconad, Rimini, Italy. Pours plum dark, almost black, with limited yellowish foam, very fine. Aroma is weak roasted, some bubblegum. Body is moderately dense with good carbonation. Taste is moderately bitter and roasted, with some sweetness. Finish is average.

Tight fluffy off white head stayed on a dark oak coloured still body. Minimal aroma of malt & dark sugar. Medium bodied & lighter to the back with a creamy mouth feel & clean aft. Malt, stone fruit, dark berry, spices, demerara & fruit juice tastes with slightly peppery finish.

Bottle @ Fox & Houndd, Sønderborg. Pours clear dark ruby / copper brown with stable light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with some notes of hops. Bitter, hoppy flavour with notes of malt, caramel and yeast. Bitterish and estery aftertaste. A reasonable Old Ale.

Dieses dunkle Bier ist ein bisschen schwer zu beschreiben. Einerseits ist es kein Porter, aber auch kein allzu süßes Dunkles. Es ist ein interessantes Bier mit einem leichtnn malzigen Geschmack.

500ml bottle into shaker glass. Pours a mahogany red with a frothy cream-coloured head. Nice lacing. Slight smell of grain and malt.. Flat smooth mouthfeel. Notes of banana and aniseed. Finish is slightly sour grain. Pleasant old-fashioned sipper.

From a bottle it is clear dark Amber color with a thin tan head. The Aroma is sweet malts and the taste is sweet flavor of banana Light bodied and tasty.
