Whoa Nelly! – Is what you might say as you drive down 151 and stumble upon the breathtaking views of Nellysford, Virginia. We are proud to be located in this gorgeous, ‘one horse’ town -- so much so, we took our Scottish style brown ale (formerly our Wee Heavy) and dubbed it Whoa Nelly. Whoa Nelly is a coppery Scottish style brown ale that combines roasted caramel malts with just a bit of smoked malt for a delicious, drinkable brew. We think you will be exclaiming “Whoa Nelly!” after your first taste.

Tap at source. No aroma - I really get nothing - I suppose it could be worse, right? Flavor is quite smoky - good - along with caramel malts and perhaps some earth. Good.
