St. Bernardus Wit is a traditional unfiltered Belgian white beer. It was developed in collaboration with Pierre Celis, the legendary master brewer who founded the Hoegaarden brewery, brewing their signature beer that was the driver of the resurgence of white beer in the 1950s. St. Bernardus Wit looks distinguished and classic with its attractive, golden-yellow colour hidden under a subtle veil – it epitomises the authentic Belgian cloudy white beer.

Smell-weak, herbal, wheat notes, grass. Foam-thin, bit watery soft, some bitter-sweet notes. Head is large and white. Appearance- half hazy, yellow color, some carbonation. Taste-bitter-sweet, some wheat notes, easy drinking, some herbal and orange notes, some caramel, nothing wrong about it, but nothing what would wow me.

Looking forward to this black 11oz can, nice graphics and high hopes. First impression is a whiff of clean wit bier pull-can-opener. Nice head. Cloudy pale. Yes, a very good example of a clean wit. Good sizzle too. Civilized and fresh, not bad, as expected. Easy with a tad of processed feel in the middle but gets misbehaved. Good fun & easy going with the feel of a finely made pale lager. Decent beer.

33cl bottle from Conad Superstore, Villa Verucchio, Italy. Pours hazy orangey blonde with a good head of white foam, fine. Aroma is fruity like apricot and white grapes, plus orange peel. Body is average, like carbonation. Taste is mildly sweet with a hint of sourness. Finish is nice and short.

07.12.2018 -- 0.33l bottle in an advent calendar from casino geant, bb 03.07.2020. pours a hazy pale golden with a big frothy head. intense aroma of belgian yeast, flowers, sour candy, coriander. flavour of yeast, citrus, earl grey tea, pears, coriander. very much a witbier.

Bottle at the Delirium Cafe, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a slightly hazy golden colour with a short-lived frothy white head. The aroma is yeast, light banana, grainy malt, light citrus, light floral hop. The flavour is yeasty lemon citrus with a dry yeasty, light clove spice, floral, tart citrus palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.
