Bottle 33cl from shop in Bodegraven, Holland. cuivre, beige. Arôme malt caramel, note fruitée de prune avec une touche de de toffee. En bouche, assez similaire, prune et cerise noire, note grillée avec palais de levure abbaye, style belge.

Bottle at home. Nice dark brown colored beer. Average smell, nice taste and medium carbo and body. Not a bad Abbey dubbel, but nothing really special as well. Decent.

Bit watery. Not much taste and smell. Easy to drink. Definitly not my favorite one from this brewery.

On tap at the ’ t Arendsnest, Amsterdam. Clear dark red - brown beer, good creamy white head. Creamy malt, a little dry and a little spicy. Some vague red fruit coming through at the end. Semi dry finish. Fresh but somewhat malty one dimensional.

Bottle: Deep amber coloured, smaller - but persistent - off-white head with a little lace; moderate to solid dry caramelly-chocolatey nose with yeast and hops in the background; dryish bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied; lingering bitter-sweet roasty-caramelly finish. Good! An unexpected gem from a usually very mediocre brewer.......

Bottle , New Oxford, Salford. Poured a dark mahogany tinged brown. with a very thin tan head. Malt, Molasses, prune.... not a huge amount more to say about this disappointingly dull dubbel really. Neeeext !
