Sampled on draft this beer poured a very dark brown color with orange highlights and a large creamy beige head that left good lacing. The aroma was chocolate syrup and roasty malts. The flavor was chocolate, cocoa powder, dryish roasty malts and a hint of smoke. Long finish. Medium body. Decent.
Too thick for 5.5%. Chalky.

Had this on two occasions in a week at thr brewery. Brown beer. Love the chocolate, not artificial. Not sugary but actual chocolate on a light porter. Just awesome chocolate with a good base porter.

Sample at the brewpub. Brown-black pour with a medium foamy tan head that diminishes steadily to an outer ring. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, chocolate and a bit of coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of mild chocolate, roast malt and a touch of hops. The finish is sweet with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Straightforward and pretty good overall.
