Sample at The Ohio Taproom for CCBW at the "Collaboration Beer Growler Tap Takeover" on 05/02/2015. The beer pours a dark amber color with a medium foamy light beige head that dissipates steadily. Partial rings of lacing. Aroma of coffee, malt and hops. Light-bodied with flavors of roast coffee, malt and earthy hops. Rye is not really noticeable. The finish is roasty with a mild coffee aftertaste. Decent overall.
