CORNET is an oaked, strong, blond Belgian beer (Alc. 8.5% Vol.). Its subtle touch of vanilla is achieved by adding oak chips during brewing. Brewed in honour of Salomon de Maldeghem, Knight in the 11th century.

Long-time shelf dweller that’s recently expired. Unsourced. Amber with a frothy white head that lingers. Aroma is a mix of candy, caramel and oak. Taste is mildly sweet with a hint of spice. Good until the thinly disguised hint of booze at the end. Medium bodied, high carbonation. Okay.

Bottle from BIAB. Pale gold with a massive, too large fluffy head. Mild grain nose, light spicy hop notes. High carb. A bit sweet, oaky for sure, not amazing but pretty tasty for the price.

Bottle from Belgiuminabox. Pours a hazy light amber/yellow colour with a huge throthy white head. Nice lacing. Aromas of lemon, spice, hints of apple, pear, banana and yeast. Taste is of more citrus lemon, a little apple, pear, banana and peppery spice. Thin bodied, delicate mouthfeel with a crisp citrus and spice finish. Very nice
