A red beer, a head is almost medium and light pink. Aroma has raspberries, some sourness and sweetness of berries, quite nice. Taste has raspberries and cherries, not so natural as should be, mild sourness, too sweet. Medium bodied, sparkling carbonation. The berries should be more natural, decent.

Bottle. Appearance - dark cherry, lovely fluffy but thin head. Nose - pungent fruit, then fresh tangy fruit, raspberries or blueberries. Taste - more of the same, luscious berry fruit, underlying Flemish Red. Palate - light to medium bodied with a creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - really lovely.

Onaantrekkelijk commercieel ogende fles van Van Alsem. Zoet en smakelijk, maar niet laaiend over. Backlog from 2015/04/26.

Clear, red colored, medium frothy pink head, nice lacing. Aroma is sweet fruity cherry, cranberries and raspberries. Taste is medium to low sweet malt, bit candy sugar, bit of tart cherry and loads of mixed berry juice, quite dry and light berry tart finish. Light to medium bodied, average carbonation. Expected a syrupy sweet juice but this is a very nice surprise, not at all too sweet and very berry-juicy with accompanying tartness, just like drinking a cranberry juice. (on tap, Palm Brewery, Steenhuffel, B)

Draught@Pub Winston Fest 2015, Pori. Deep red colour, small pink head. Aroma is raspberries, some mild nutty notes along with mild wood. Flavour is fruity, a bunch of raspberries. Wellbalanced and pleasantly dry palate. Nice tartness in the finish. Tasty and refreshing on a warm Summers day.

Bottle. Pours deep dark red, with a creamy pink head. Aroma is loaded with sweet cherries and fruity notes of berries as well as notes of leather, wood and sweet herbal fennel. Medium body, with average carbonation. Flavour is ever so slightly tart berries, fruit peel and cherries, as well as notes of wood, leather and tannins.
