On tap at Rip Current, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out burnt brown sugar, some dark dry cocoa and chalky, earthy notes. Flavour is boozy and harsh, with notes of chalk, burnt candied sugar, dark fruits and phenolic notes. Very rough and phenolic on the finish. Not a well-calibrated impie. Difficult to drink.

On tap at Stone Brewing World Bistro and Gardens. It pours a really dark brown body and a small dark beige head. Salty licorice and molasses on the nose, roasted malts, some coffee and alcohol. Full body, lightly warming, with a nice carbonation. Lots of flavor, but too salty I think. Long roasted and salty licorice finish. Well, too salty, but far from bad. 130817
