Bottle from Nisa, Hebden Bridge. Amber-orange with next to no head. Its lambic style is very evident, as is the banana flavour which is aromatic in the beer too, however it does feel artificial to the brew.

375 ml bottle into tulip glass, no bottle dating. Pours slightly hazy/cloudy pale golden yellow color with a small dense white head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of ripe banana, pineapple, mango, melon, pear, red apple, honey, candi sugar, wheat, and bread; with light notes of hay, straw, grass, oak, funk, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of fruity/light funky yeast, bananas, and pale malt/sugar sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of ripe banana, pineapple, mango, melon, pear, red apple, honey, candi sugar, wheat, and bread; with light notes of hay, straw, grass, oak, funk, and yeast earthiness. Light fruit tang/tartness on the finish. Lingering notes of banana, pineapple, mango, melon, pear, red apple, honey, candi sugar, wheat, bread, hay, straw, grass, light funk, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light funky yeast, bananas, and pale malt/sugar sweetness; with a good malt/tartness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Minimal dryness. Light-medium carbonation and medium-plus body; with a very smooth, creamy, and lightly slick/syrupy/tangy balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 3.5%. Overall this is a very good sweetened fruit lambic style. All around nice complexity, robustness, and balance of fruity/light funky yeast, bananas, and pale malt/sugar sweetness; very smooth and refreshing to drink, with the mildly tart/tangy/drying finish. The bananas are more pronounced in the aromas, but they don't feel overwhelming or artificial overall. Authentic fruit flavors. Very well balanced in the taste with sweetness, fruity yeast complexity, and a touch of funk. A very enjoyable offering. A lot better than I expected. Very pleasing to drink.

Shared from bottle at Maakun’s. Massive thanks to Maakun for sharing this whale with me. Golden with almost no head. Sweet dried banana, overripe banana, light sour lambic, lemon juice, Napoleon sour lemon hardcandy, mild wet cardboard. Over medium sweet and light sour. Medium body, no carbonation. Surprisingly quite nice fruity aperatif, unexpected for a banana lambic.

Bottle shared. Clear golden with a few bubbles. Sweet malts, banana candy, light sugary grain syrup, soft funk and hay with a light touch of puke. Medium sweet and light sour. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. One of the better Chapeau beers I’ve had.
