Bottle @ home. Black colour with a medium sized off-white to beige head. Smells roasty, coal, sweet, slightly red fruits, forrest fruits. Tastes coffee, roasty, slightly ash, hint of sourness, slightly earthy. Medium body, soft to medium carbo.

Bottle @ weekly tasting shared with Dutchdrebus. Opaque black color, full sized light brown head. Smell malts, leaves, slightly overripe fruits. Taste malts, lightly roasty, quite bitter, again leaves and a touch of weird sweetness. Bad aroma, unbalanced flavor.

Bottle 330ml. @ home. [ As Breugem Saense Stout ].Clear dark brown black color with a average to large, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, light yeasty. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, hard licorice, chocolate, roasted. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140325]

zwart met schuimige bruine kraag, aroma van stevige moutigheid, zoet, chocolade, koffie. smaken zijn redelijk zoet, zwak bitter, sterk, redelijk moutig van gebrande en geroosterde mouten, koffie en chocolade. medium body, dun maar glad van textuur en een droog zoetige afdronk. ik ben eigenlijk redelijk verbaasd over de smaken, die zijn redelijk gebalanceerd, nergens overdreven, prima te drinken (niet overdreven) bier

33cl Bottle from Speciaalbierwinkel Bodegraven. Brewed at 7 Deugden. Black, beige head. Aroma of ash, hard-roasted malts, berries, oats, some liquorice and fruits. Flavour is ashy, tart berries, hard-roasted malts, oats, hint of chocolate, roasted malt bitter finish, chicory. Medium-bodied at best, somewhat fizzy. Decent dry stout.

Bottle from ABC Beers, Den Haag. Poured a dark mahogany with a thin tan head. The aroma is yeast malt and touch of liqourice. The flavour is medium bitter with a watery malt liqourice palate. Medium to light bodied with soft carbonation.
